Irish Poker, dealt to every phone
Everyone is dealt four cards, face down on their phone. Guess each one in turn: red or black, higher or lower, in between or outside, then the suit. Get it right and you hand out sips. Get it wrong and you take them.
The TV runs the table: the prompt for each card, the reveals, and a live feed of who’s sending sips to whom.

How a round of Irish Poker plays
- 1
Red or black?
Guess the color of your first card on your phone. The TV shows the prompt and the clock.
- 2
Higher or lower?
Is your second card higher or lower than your first? Aces are high, and matching it exactly costs double.
- 3
In between or outside?
Does your third card land between your first two, or outside them? Matching either one costs double.
- 4
Guess the suit
Hearts, diamonds, clubs, or spades for the last card.
- 5
Give sips, drink up
After each card, everyone who guessed right hands out sips from their phone, one tap per sip, and the TV shows them landing. Stakes rise each card, from one sip on the first to four on the last. Then everyone checks their phone to see what they owe.
Why bars run Irish Poker
- Every guess, reveal, and sip tracked for you, with no dealer needed
- Stakes climb from one sip to four as the hand goes on
- End-of-game awards: most sips given, most taken, most targeted, and luckiest
- Latecomers are dealt straight in
Irish Poker questions
How do you play Irish Poker?
Each player has four face-down cards and guesses them one at a time: red or black, then higher or lower than the first card, then in between or outside the first two, then the suit. A right guess lets you give out as many sips as the card’s number in the hand. A wrong guess means you take them, and matching an earlier card exactly doubles it.
Do players have to drink alcohol?
No. Sips are how the game keeps score, and any drink works, from beer to soda to water.
Does Irish Poker count toward the leaderboard?
No. It tracks sips, not points, so it doesn’t change anyone’s score for the night. It ends with its own sip leaderboard and awards.
How many people can play?
At least two, with no upper limit. Big groups get extra decks so there are always enough cards.
Every game is included
One subscription runs the whole library. In community mode, guests vote on the next game after every round, so Irish Poker mixes with the rest to keep the night moving.
