Sketch & Guess

Draw on your phone. The whole bar guesses.

Sketch & Guess is a drawing game built for a room full of people. One guest gets a secret word, draws it on their phone, and every stroke appears on the TVs as it’s drawn. Everyone else races to type the answer.

Every player gets a turn to draw each round, and the quicker you guess, the more you score.

How a round of Sketch & Guess plays

  1. 1

    Pick something to draw

The drawer’s phone offers a few words and a phrase, each showing its category, difficulty, and point value. They have 15 seconds to choose.

  2. 2

    Draw it live

The drawer’s phone becomes a canvas with ten colors, three brush sizes, an eraser, and undo. Every stroke streams to the TVs and to the guessers’ phones as it’s drawn.

  3. 3

    Guess on your phone

Guessers type answers on their phones. Close spellings count, and in a phrase, each word you get right is filled in for you. The TV lists who has it so far.

  4. 4

    Reveal and score

When time runs out or everyone has guessed, the TV reveals the answer, who got it, and their points. Then the next player draws.

Why bars run Sketch & Guess

  • Everyone gets a turn at the canvas each round
  • The drawing appears on the big screen live, stroke by stroke
  • Faster guesses earn more, and the drawer scores for everyone who gets it
  • Close spellings still count, so typos don’t cost anyone the point

Sketch & Guess questions

How many players do you need?

At least two: one to draw and one to guess. There’s no upper limit, but rounds get longer as more people join, because everyone draws once.

How does scoring work?

Guessers score more the faster they get it: an instant guess earns the word’s full value, falling to a tenth of it at the buzzer. Harder words are worth more. The drawer earns points for every player who guesses correctly, and nothing if nobody does.

Do guests need to be good at drawing?

No. Guessers only need to get the idea, and close spellings are accepted, so a rough sketch usually does the job.

Can we leave out phrases?

Yes. Phrases are on by default. Turn them off in your venue settings and drawers only get single words.

Every game is included

One subscription runs the whole library. In community mode, guests vote on the next game after every round, so Sketch & Guess mixes with the rest to keep the night moving.
